To enable the Vigilix Remote Control feature, you will need to install a Remote Control template on the Agent. Once you have signed up for Remote Control through Vigilix, we will enable four templates you can select. To install a remote control template, do the following:
- On the dashboard, drill down to the Agent you want Remote Control for, select Click for Options, and then click Manage Agent.
- Select the Templates tab. Choose one of the four Remote Control templates in the checklist. See the Remote Control Templates for more information about each of the Remote Control templates.
- Click the Save icon.
The template will now be installed on the remote Agent. It may take up to ten minutes to load all of the required information on the remote Agent. During the installation, you will see “Remote Control Installing…” under that Agent’s Click for Options menu, as shown here:
Once the Remote Control template has been installed and configured, the link will change to “Remote Control”. You can click on that link to take control (see next section on Taking Control of a Remote Agent).
If you still see “Remote Control Installing” after about 10 minutes, then there were probably some issues in the template installation. See Troubleshooting for ideas about how to get the Remote Control templates installed correctly.
